Crockpot Pulled Pork
Hey there busy Mom!
We see you.
When you are pulled into a hundred different directions each day, sometimes cooking is the last thing you want to think about! But everyone still wants to eat. This Crockpot Pulled Pork recipe is the perfect meal for a busy day. Get everything going in the morning, and by the time you get home all you will need is your favorite sauce and some sides!
You Will Need:
One 3.5 lb RHF Boston Butt
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
First, set your crock pot to low. Take 4 square pieces of aluminum foil and form into balls. Place them in the bottom of your crockpot to create a shelf for your meat to sit on. Rinse and pat your pork dry with paper towels. Mix all your spices together in a bowl well. Using your hands, coat your pork roast well with the dry rub on all sides. Set gently into the crockpot on top of your aluminum foil balls (this will help the meat cook evenly and allow the juices to drip to the bottom). Cook on low for 6-10 hours depending on the size. It should be falling off the bone tender! Remove the roast from the crockpot and place into a large dish and shred with forks. Ladle drippings from the crockpot over the meat as needed and add your favorite BBQ sauce. Great for pulled pork sandwiches, pork tacos, quesadillas and in Brunswick Stew!
