About Our Farm
We are the Skinner Family at Rock House Farms. We are a first generation farm located in Cleburne County, Alabama. Working together as a family is what we love. We work hard each day to manage our livestock properly and humanely resulting in high quality meat. We started this journey wanting to provide our family with the healthiest meat we could find. We wanted to read past the marketing labels at the grocery store and find a local farm or individual that we could buy from and KNOW that what we were feeding to our family was raised responsibly and the way we feel nature intended, so we decided to become those farmers ourselves. What we raise and sell from our farm is exactly what we dish up at our family dinner table. All of our animals are raised on spacious pastures and forests year round. Our cattle and sheep are 100 % grass fed and grass finished. Our hogs are raised outdoors in wooded and pastured paddocks all year. Our sows farrow in spacious barn paddocks for low stress births and predator protection, allowing them to raise their babies themselves until the proper weaning age. Our laying hens are raised in spacious chicken tractors with access to both shaded grassy areas and sunshine, fresh pellets and fresh water all day everyday.
